Open Challenge To The Son's Of A'isha

We have recently been notified that an alleged Sheikh called 'Dimashqiah' posted a blasphemous statement regarding the Ahlulbayt (a.s) on his Twitter feed. The following is a screen shot of the said message:

اذا كان مذهبكم يجيز اللواط فيلزمكم ان عليا كان يأتي فاطمة من دبرها. قبحكم الله على هذا الاستهزاء بأهل البيت

"If your sect (i.e Shi'as) permits anal sex so then you are binded with that Alee used to do that with....." (The rest we do not dare to mention).

Note: Please read the following article for in depth response regarding the issue of Anal Sex according to the so called school of Ahl Sunnah;

http://www.revisitingthesalaf.org/2014/05/anal-sex-according-to-islam_4.html

Whilst we have intentionally avoided translating the text in its entirety as to protect the honour of these noble personalities, those proficient in Arabic will gauge that this Nasbi has accused the Ahlulbayt (a.s) of partaking in an unnatural act that is unbecoming of these holy personalities. In light of this, we felt it imperative to counter this Nasbi with a swift riposte for him and his supporters to ponder over. This is our open challenge to Dimashqiah or anyone who claims to be a son of A'isha. We invite you to defend your mother, in light of the text and the implications derived thereof. One cannot accuse us of adopting the same modus operandi as Dimashqiah, for we have based our questions on textual evidence, whereas Dimashqiah opted for shameless conjecture.

The mothers should suckle their children for two whole years, (that is) for those (parents) who desire to complete the term of suckling, but the father of the child shall bear the cost of the mother's food and clothing on a reasonable basis. No person shall have a burden laid on him greater than he can bear. No mother shall be treated unfairly on account of her child, nor father on account of his child. And on the (father's) heir is incumbent the like of that (which was incumbent on the father). If they both decide on weaning, by mutual consent, and after due consultation, there is no sin on them. And if you decide on a foster suckling-mother for your children, there is no sin on you, provided you pay (the mother) what you agreed (to give her) on a reasonable basis. And fear Allah and know that Allah is All-Seer of what you do.

Holy Qur'aan (2.232)

Ibn Taymiyyah:

And "Al-Radh'a" (breastfeeding) is when the nipple is suckled and it is drunken from it and then it is released, this is called Radh'a."

Source: Ahkam Al-Zawaj. Pg. # 236.

Muslim ibn Hajjaj:

Umm Salama said to A'isha: "A young boy who is at the threshold of puberty comes to you! I, however, do not like that he should come to me, whereupon A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: 'Don't you see in Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) a model for you?' She also said: The wife of Aboo Hudhaifa said: 'Messenger of Allah, Salim comes to me and now he is a (grown-up) person, and there is something that (rankles) in the mind of Aboo Hudhaifa about him,' whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: 'Suckle him (so that he may become your foster-child), and thus he may be able to come to you (freely).'"

Source: Saheeh Muslim. Vol. 2, Pg. # 664, H # 29.

The Muslims believe a foster relationship can only be established through breast-feeding and that is only if the child is less than two (as mentioned in the Holy Qu'raan). But the narration of A'isha wherein she advised Umm Salama (r.a) and her nieces, to breast-feed any man on the grounds that the Prophet (saw) had advised Sahlah to do the same. Now, if Salim's case had been an exception to the rule, why would A'isha (whose intelligence and knowledge of Qur'aan and Hadeeth is far more superior to any present day Sunni scholar) advance it as a precedent for Umm Salama (r.a) and her nieces to breast-feed men?

Ahmad bin Hanbal:

A'isha took that as a precedent for whatever men she wanted to be able to come to see her. She ordered daughters of her sisters and brothers to give milk to whichever men she wanted to be able to come in to see her. The rest of the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, refused to let anyone come in to them by such nursing. They said, 'No! By Allah! We think that what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered Sahla bint Suhayl to do was only an indulgence concerning the nursing of Salim alone. No! By Allah! No one will come in upon us by such nursing!'

Despite all these absurd narrations, a question which immediately comes to mind is whether Sahlah bint Suhayl who breast-fed Salim, had breast milk at the time? According to historical facts, Sahlah only had one child with Aboo Hudhayfah who was called Muhammad ibn Abi Hudayfah, born during their stay in Abyssinia. After migration in the 5 A.H. The couple later returned to Makkah around a month later, the same year they remained there until the Prophets (saw) emigration to Madinah eight years later. The occurrence of the breast-feeding event as reported, took place in Madinah, which means there was a gap of around 8-10 years between the birth of Sahlah's child and her breast-feeding Salim. Normally a woman may continue to secrete milk for a few years after childbirth. This being so, it would be impossible for Sahlah to have been lactating at the time that she was supposed to have breast-fed Salim.

Defence One

Muhammad bin Umar (Al-Waqidi) told us: Muhammad bin Abdullah, Al-Zuhri's nephew, told us on authority of his father that he said, “An amount of a drink of milk was collected in a pot or a glass, and Salim used to drink it every day, for five days. After this, he used to enter upon her while her head was uncovered. This was permission from Messenger of Allah (swt) to Sahla bint Suhail."

Reply One

This is far-fetched idea and implausible because foster relationships are to be established through contact, is breast-feeding directly and not simply drinking breast milk from a place other than a woman's breast. All narrations which might allure to such an incident taking place are based on weak reports. The prime narrator Muhammad ibn Umar Al-Waqidi is considered reliable when narrating history, but is disregarded in regards to Ahkam reports. This is also confirmed on a well known Sunni website in which it states the following:

Conclusion

'Consequently, it becomes clear that Al-Waqidi was not acceptable in Hadeeth and important religious injunctions such as the question concerning permissible (halal) and impermissible (haram) but was acceptable in the Maghazi and Siyar and in such events of early history which did not run against the principles of historical evidence or personal bias. Thus, one can safely say that Al-Waqidi’s reports concerning Maghazi and the Siyar will be accepted after close investigations, and that in the presence of stronger “isnad” his report will not be accepted. In such a case too, where he is the only transmitter of a particular event his report will not be acceptable unless other evidence supports his version.

To conclude, I would like to end with a very interesting but revealing remark of Sulayman Al-Shadikuni in which he has said about Al-Waqidi, that if Al-Waqidi was truthful then certainly he was the greatest of all truthful men. But if he was a liar even then he was the greatest of all liars.'

It may be the case that this narration from Al-Waqidi is sound. But the burden of proof is upon the Nawaasib to show that it is, especially when the other so-called "sound" collections do not report this version of the story.

A'isha's Belief On 'Tahreef' (Distortion) Of The Qur'aan

Muslim ibn Hajjaj:

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with, her) reported that it had been revealed in the Holy Qur'aan that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated (and substituted) by five sucklings and Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) died and it was before that time (found) in the Holy Qur'an (and recited by the Muslims).

Al-Bayhaqi:

This is how we got this narration, and this actually happened; she reported the incidence without giving any ruling; For sure, verse of Rajam 'stoning' was known amongst companions, and they knew that its recitation and its existence in scriptures (Qur'aan) were abrogated, and only its ruling existed. And that was when the Prophet (saw) approached Umar and did not allow him to write it. And as regards to breastfeeding adults, it was abrogated except according to A'isha's opinion; or they said it was a permission for Salim only, and because of that, they did not confirm it. As regards to breastfeeding adults ten times, it is reported through the narration of Amra from A'isha, that it was reduced to 5 sucklings, and the abrogation of its ruling and recitation was known amongst companions, and that is why they did not confirm it, not because the goat ate her scriptures, and that is clear by the grace of Allah (swt).

Ibn Hajar:

Al-Zamakhsari said: "What is rumoured that this was extra part in a page (verse of stoning and suckling) in the house of A'isha, and it was eaten away by a goat. It is there in books of Atheists and Shi'ee."

In response, ibn Hajar Asqalani said: (I say) "Rather all narrators of this narration are trustworthy and none of them is charged."

Fatwa's Of Scholars

Let us start with Al-Azhar’s University cleric, 'Dr Attiya' who issued a Fatwa allowing women to work with their male work colleagues via breast feeding. This later spread to other states in the middle eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia where women demanded a right to be able to drive cars in which they stated slogans of: "We either be allowed to drive or breastfeed foreigners."

Both reports can be verified by clicking the following links:-

Al-Albani:

"Do you want to say if he is nursed directly from the breast or by a cup?!" 'I say (Al-Albani) we don't have any thing that I know of telling us the way that the wife of Aboo Hudhayfa breast-fed Salim we don't know the way. And I personally say I don't see any objection to his being nursed directly from the nipple... but if someone ever felt uncomfortable with that someone getting breast-fed from his wife even if he only sees just the nipple, he could opt for an alternative way and that is through a cup.

For those who are fluent in Arabic, listening to the below lecture at approximately the 10-minute mark would be beneficial, for he cites the above statement.

It must be noted that Al-Albani is a well-renowned scholar who does not once appeal to the fact that Sahla places her milk in a cup for Salim to drink. This notion has even been refuted by Sheikh Aboo Ishaq Al-Heweny, a renowned Salafi Rabbi who also confirms these narrations as being fabricated! In the following clip, he states from 20 seconds to 2 minutes and 7 seconds the following:

"Here some scholars say that she squeezed milk from her breast in a cup and Salim drank it? Why did you say this? Of course all these hadeeth are weak! And there are scholars, actually most scholars who read a hadeeth and take it without understanding it...Oh people with intellects! Okay, a woman squeezed her breast and put milk in the cup and gave it to the man. Can this image make Sahla say, "How will I breast feed him?!" Or did she understand she will breast feed him directly? Of course! No one who drinks milk from a cup is said to breast feed not according to the Arabic language or to what we know culturally or from a religious perspective! Or we all considered to breastfeed from cows go buy a gallon of milk and say, "I breastfeed from the cow.."

A'isha Suckled A Quraish Boy!

We had the below text and video in our possession for a considerable length of time, but had opted to shelve it, as so obscene were the suggestions therein, we felt it would be better to hide so as to prevent questions being raised over the conduct of A'isha. But since Dimashqiah had no such regard for Sayeda Faatima (s.a) and proudly ranted off such an obscenity, we have been left with no other choice but to publicly share this.

Shahin Lashin:

"A'isha opined that adult breast feeding makes an individual mahram, and she practically breast fed a young man, and he would enter upon her, but the remainder mothers of the believers denied it (adult breast feeding)..."

Source: Fatah Ul-Mun'im Sharh Saheeh Muslim. Vol. 5, Pg. # 622.

Sheikh Shahin Lashin a much lauded scholar, hadeeth teacher and vice president at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. The said author is alleging that A'isha of her own volition breastfed a slave. Our readers should not forget that the tradition under discussion is that set out under the chapter of Saheeh Muslim titled, ‘Suckling a Young Lad,’ wherein we learn how Salim, a grown bearded man was suckled by Sahla the mother of the household upon the orders of the Prophet (saw), so that he could become her foster son and negotiate his way through her home without the need for the type of rigid rules of contact placed on a non mahram. During the course of commenting on this very tradition, the author argues that A'isha suckled a Ghulam (servant). Umm Salam (r.a) disliked this young boy entering upon the wives of the Prophet (saw). (Source: Saheeh Muslim. Vol. 2, Pg. # 664, H # 29.)

In order to breast-feed, A'isha would have had to expose her breast, in other words uncover her (Awrah), something which Allah (swt) has clearly made unlawful for the believers. Breast-feeding involves physical contact between two persons; the woman and the child. If the servant of A'isha had been breast-fed, physical contact would most certainly have taken place, breaking yet another Islam's ruling.

Biologically, womens breasts are among the most sexually sensitive organs, and physical contact involving this area would easily arouse carnal passion in both adults. Islam even forbids men and women prolonging and deepening their gaze upon the opposite sex. Islam exhorts its followers to keep away from adultery and any act which may lead to it. What was A'isha thinking by allowing a young boy to suckle from her bosoms? We should keep all that in mind when evaluating how the Qur'aan uniquely extorts double punishment on the wives for their sins.

Challenge To The Son's Of A'isha

1. Does fosterage to make one a mahram not involve milk being ingested from the nipple into the mouth?

2. Is it not true that breast milk only develops when a woman is either pregnant or has recently given birth?

3. Was A'isha ever pregnant whilst she was the spouse of the Prophet (saw)?

4. If the ability to lactate was one of the supposed miracles of A'isha, can the Sunnis kindly produce a reference with an authentic chain wherein she claims to have possessed this excellence?

5. If no such tradition exists, is it not questionable that she was allowing a Ghulam (servant) to suck her nipples when she was not lactating?

6. If she was not lactating:

a) What was the purpose of her providing her bosom for this purpose?
b) How was this mahram relationship thus developed?

7. If it is argued that A'isha's act of allowing the Ghulam (servant) to latch on to her nipples was enough to create a mahram relationship, could the Sunnis kindly produce a single reference from their Mullah’s declaring that any form of breast sucking during spousal foreplay negates that marriage forthwith?

8. If they have not issued such an edict, are the Sunni clergy not ashamed that they are in effect allowing marital relationships to turn into incestuous ones?

9. Why did a non-lactating A'isha personally choose to suckle this Ghulam (servant)?

10. If it is argued that none of her relatives were able to assist, we can point out that according to the Musnad tradition cited earlier, A'isha had a surplus of female relatives up for the task. This being the case, what was the logic behind her then deciding to breast feed someone?

11. If it is argued that all of these relatives were busy at the time, could A'isha not have told the Ghulam to return when they were available?

12. What was so urgent that meant A'isha felt compelled to breast feed this Ghulam?
